Product Introduction

The plate feeder is a type of equipment used for short-distance material transport. It is commonly employed in industries such as mineral processing, cement, and building materials to continuously and uniformly feed material from a storage bin to a crusher or other equipment.

Common Technical Parameters

1. Model:

WB Series: e.g., WB800*1500, indicating a width of 800mm and a length of 1500mm.

SMBW Series: e.g., SMBW1500, SMBW1600, etc.

BWZ Series: e.g., BWZ18009, BWZ200010, etc.

BZ Series: e.g., BZ180-9, BZ180-9.8, etc.

GBZ Series: e.g., GBZ2000, GBZ2200, etc.

BWJ Series: e.g., BWJ12-(30-110), BWJ14-(30-150), etc.

B Series: e.g., B1000, B1250, B1600, etc.

GBL Series: e.g., GBL1250, GBL1600, etc.
GBL系列:例如GBL1250、GBL1600等。

2. Width:

The width of the plate feeder varies depending on the model. Common widths include 800mm, 1000mm, 1250mm, 1500mm, 1600mm, 1800mm, 2000mm, 2200mm, 2400mm, etc.

3. Feed Rate / Conveying Capacity:

Feed rate / conveying capacity is an important parameter for measuring the performance of a plate feeder, typically expressed in tons per hour (t/h) or cubic meters per hour (m³/h).

For example, the conveying capacity of the SMBW series plate feeder can reach 20-1200 t/h.

The feed capacity of the BWJ series plate feeder can reach 30-1000 m³/h.

The processing capacity of medium-duty plate feeders is typically in the range of 15-400 m³/h.

The conveying capacity of heavy-duty plate feeders can be even larger, varying by model.

4. Feed Particle Size:

Plate feeders can handle materials of different particle sizes. It is necessary to select the appropriate model based on the actual application.

For example, the BZ series plate feeder can handle materials with a particle size ≤ 1000mm.

The BWJ series plate feeder can handle materials with a particle size ≤ 600mm.

5. Feed Speed:

Feed speed is typically measured in meters per second (m/s) and can be controlled by adjusting the drive device.

For example, the feed speed range of the BWZ series plate feeder is 0.014-0.14 m/s.

The operating speed range of the GBZ series plate feeder is 0.0073-0.073 m/s.

The speed range of the B series medium-duty plate feeder is 0.02-0.25 m/s.

6. Other Parameters:

Material bulk density, lump weight, temperature, etc., also affect the performance of the plate feeder and need to be considered during selection based on actual conditions.

For example, plate feeders can be installed horizontally or on an incline, with the maximum inclination angle generally not exceeding 20°.

When selecting a plate feeder, it is necessary to choose the appropriate model and specifications based on actual material characteristics, processing capacity, feed particle size requirements, etc.

Advantages and Features of Plate Feeders Compared to Other Types

Plate feeders can be categorized into three types: Light-Duty, Heavy-Duty, and Medium-Duty Plate Feeders. Light-duty plate feeders can be selected for light materials in chemical plants, power plants, or fertilizer plants, etc. Heavy-duty plate feeders handle larger materials, capable of transporting materials up to 1800mm in size. Based on the relationship between the feeder's pan width and the material's maximum particle size for model selection -- the pan width is generally 1.5-2.5 times the maximum material size. For example, 1.5*600=900mm, 1.8*600=1080mm. Medium-duty plate feeders fall between the light and heavy types.

1. The drive device features a single-point floating support, suspended on the main shaft. The reducer employs a combination of right-angle and planetary hardened gear technology, ensuring excellent concentricity. This drive design minimizes the overall dimensions of the feeder.

2. The drive sprocket uses detachable, specialized bulldozer drive tooth blocks, facilitating easy maintenance and reducing overall replacement costs. The drive chain is a dedicated crawler chain that requires no lubrication, does not run off track, and has a longer service life. The tail sprocket is made of high-strength alloy steel and undergoes quenching treatment, providing excellent wear resistance.

3. The conveyor pans are made of manganese steel plate with a pressed and welded structure, ensuring better overlap accuracy between pans and preventing material leakage. These pans offer high strength, rigidity, wear resistance, durability, and impact resistance, guaranteeing a service life of over five years.

4. The bogie wheels and carrier rollers are made of 40Cr material, heat-treated and quenched. They are lubricated with grease; a one-time injection can last for one year, and grease gun injection can be used during major maintenance. Alternatively, a centralized multi-point grease lubrication system can be provided based on customer requirements.

5. All rotating parts use self-aligning roller bearings. They feature effective sealing and lubrication, a low coefficient of friction, reducing power consumption.

6. All connections between the main shaft, bearings, and sprockets use expansion sleeves and lock nuts. This method neither damages the journal nor creates stress concentrations from keyways, while also facilitating disassembly, assembly, and maintenance.
