Product Description
The belt feeder, also known as a belt coal feeder, can be widely used in bulk material handling systems in industries such as coal, metallurgy, construction, and chemicals. It operates on the principle of a belt conveyor, with the driving power provided by a combined stepless speed reduction motor. The belt speed can be adjusted as needed, either manually or via a frequency converter. This product features low operating power, light weight, large feeding capacity, stable feed rate, convenient adjustment, low noise, minimal maintenance, and high component commonality.
Working Principle
Material from the bunker enters the guide trough through the connecting section and falls onto the steel wire reinforced rubber belt. When the belt is stationary, the material eventually stops moving due to internal friction, forming a stationary pile at a certain angle at the discharge outlet. When the drive pulley starts rotating under external power, it drives the belt into motion. The belt carries the material on it towards the discharge outlet. After discharging at the outlet, the moving belt turns back for the return trip. Material is continuously discharged from the outlet, thus completing the feeding process. A secondary sealing device provides sealing for material that might leak through the gap between the guide trough and the belt. To change the feed rate, the speed of the output shaft can be adjusted by turning the handwheel of the rotary-arm planetary friction type stepless speed variator, thereby changing the belt speed (high or low) and consequently the feed rate. Alternatively, the feed rate can be changed by optionally using a frequency converter to alter the motor speed. During operation of the belt feeder, the main system load is supported by rolling bearings, resulting in low operational resistance, small required drive power for the equipment, and long service life for all system components.
